Deb tagged me with a challenge to post the topic “10 Bad Habits or Things I Wish I Could Change About Me.” There are so many things I would like to change that I had a hard time settling on just 10, but I managed to pick out a few to include here. They are listed in no particular order. Don’t think less of me now that you know my dirty secrets!
1. It’s cliché, but I have to go with the usual woman’s complaint…my body. I hate my weight and hate my skin. I wish I could be slim and have beautiful, clear, smooth skin. It is a terrible curse to be 36 and still have acne. Mother Nature has a cruel sense of humor. I like to eat. I like food. It likes me, too.
2. I’m lazy. I’d rather play on the computer or read than actually do stuff around the house. Yes, that is why my house is a distaster.
3. I have no self confidence. I had to go and look at 3 other people’s Top 10 list to make sure I was doing this list okay.
4. I spend too much time on the computer doing puzzles or playing games.
5. I have a hard time sticking with goals. I make goals, follow them for about three days, and then give up. I have lots of goals that start on Monday and are over by Thursday.
6. I always have to have something to do with my hands. If I don’t, I tend to bite my nails or pick at my skin. Icky, I know, but I’ve never been able to kick this habit.
7. I’m selfish. I want to do what I want to do and that's that.
8. I’m messy. Okay, I’m a slob. It goes along with the lazy thing.
9. I always have to have something to entertain me. Greg says I have ADD because I can’t sit quietly for a moment. He just might be right.
10. I have a hard time making decisions. I am so bad at this. It goes along with the no self confidence thing, I’m sure, but making decisions is so hard for me.
11. Oh yeah, I forgot one. Remembering things.
I think it’s important to see the positive side of things along with the not-so-positive, so here are 10 Good Habits or Things I Like About Myself. (Deb, you have to do this, too!)
1. I’m a problem solver. This is actually both a blessing and a curse because sometimes there is no solution to the problem.
2. I’m a good listener.
3. Greg says I'm an expert reader. I love to read and really like to learn, too.
4. I’m a good worker, and, when I put my mind to it, good at organizing
5. I know lots of weird stuff from all my reading. Comes in handy sometimes.
6. I love animals. If I'm going to donate time or money I prefer it goes to animal things. Animals can't help themselves, and rely on us to do it. I love my pets and other people's too.
7. I'm compassionate.
Oh, this is really bad. I can only come up with 7! There must be other things I like about me. Well, I'll think on it and get back to you.

Oh, you are so nice to me! I found out it is much easier to be complementary to others than it is to myself. Isn't that weird?
