Urk, urk, urk, blaaat

There is nothing quite like waking up to the sound of a dog barfing. It is a quite the distinctive sound. Urk, urk, urk, blaaaat. Such a pleasant way to start a Monday. It’s even better when it’s 4:30 in the morning and the barfer in question doesn’t bother to get out of bed to barf, but just goes ahead and does it under the covers where she can stay nice and warm. We have laminate flooring for just such occurrences, but does she use it? Noooo. It’s so simple with the laminate flooring…barf on the floor, pick up the pile with a paper towel, run a disinfecting wipe over the area and you are done. No stain, no pain, and no need to change your sheets (that you had just changed two days before) and wash your mattress pad. Not that I think Sophie enjoyed starting her day that way. And I can tell you for sure that Carmen was MOST unhappy to be rousted out of her nice warm bed at 4:30 in the morning so I could throw the sheets in the wash. She was even more unhappy when it was revealed that she would not be going back under the covers any time soon and would have to tough it out on the dog bed. In fact, I would venture to say that Carmen was the most annoyed by the whole situation.

Greg told me later that she flew into his room when he got up and burrowed under his covers. Poor Carmen.
