Nostalgia

I have been feeling rather nostalgic lately. I guess it's because of the 20-year reunion coming up. When I was over at my parent's house on Mother's Day, I drove by my old high school. I happened to have my camera with me so I took a couple of pictures.

Here is the sign my class and the previous one bought for the school. I can't remember what we did for the money, though. Obviously, it's been treated well by the subsequent groups of teenage monsters that have walked the halls since I left.

This is the sign out by the road. I couldn't get a picture without that stupid shadow on it because of the angle of the sun and the sign in front of it.

Here's the building. Just from that little slice of the school I bet you can tell me what decade the building was built.

While I was having my trip down memory lane, I went to the Ledding Library, the library where I went for so many years. It's really changed since I was a kid. There used to be a Safeway across the parking lot from it. That's gone now, replaced by some condos. It looks weird.

At least the ducks were still there. I used to love sitting by the pond and watching the ducks. So I took some pictures of those for you, too.

Here's a Canadian Goose mama and some of her little goslings. By the way, why aren't they called gooselings?

This little squirrel posed so prettily for me that I had to take his picture, too.

Look at this pretty arbor. Doesn't it just make you want to sit a spell?

I just love spring. Look at this azalea. Isn't it beautiful?

Finally I went inside and wandered around the kid's library for a while. Oh, okay, I went to get a letterbox, but I was reminiscing anyway. I loved this hanging. Wish I had one for my room.
