Hula Hula

So Greg & I went to the Hawaiian Festival at Esther Short Park in Vancouver on Saturday. There were all kinds of booths, a zillion people and a lot of big Samoan security guys. There were also hula dancers, Hawaiian shaved ice (yummy), pulled pork, Hawaiian singers and people handing out leis. One enterprising lei-giver was putting leis on all the dogs. I took a few pictures to share with you all.

Of course, my girls are the cutest of them all.

But this little pug caught my eye.

And these little Italian Greyhounds were too cute not to take a picture of. They didn't want to pose with Carmen & Sophie though.

This guy was showing off his style.

I also got a free 5 minute chair massage that was terrific. Greg has this new chiroprator who's wife is Hawaiian and part of the festival and told him all about it. It was pretty cool.

We didn't stay long, but we had fun anyway. And it was Greg's idea! Wow!

Did you see the Native American drummers while you were there? They played at 2 pm. Several of our friends drum with that group. I wanted to go but we got busy. There was an International Festival the next day.
