I just got an invitation to my 20 year high school reunion. How can it be 20 years since I graduated?
So I got a link to a web page where we can all go in and brag about what we've done in the past 20 years. God, it was depressing to read them and compare myself. This one is a teacher, that one is an engineer, this one is some other sucessful thing. Sheesh. I can't very well say my greatest accomplishment in the last 20 years is gaining 100 pounds, now can I? Not exactly something to brag about.
I'm pretty sure I'm not going to go. I don't want to fork out $65 to go sit in a bar and talk to people I didn't like 20 years ago.
What do those of you who have gone through this have to say?

"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intellingent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
A special request for the management at Random Thoughts:
What does the Kris of 20 years ago have to say to the Kris of 2008?
Does 1988 Kris have a 6-word memoir?
Is there anything 1988 Kris or 2008 Kris would like to say to 2018 Kris?
