You know this whole floor thing I've talked (okay, let's be honest...complained endlessly) about? We want to actually finish it someday, mostly so I can quit complaining about it. I was going to take a week off of work so we could dedicate all that time to getting it done, but decided that since Greg's poor back wouldn't be able to work so much without some rest in between days, I would just take a few days off at a time. My wonderful boss was kind enough to allow me to take Mondays and Tuesday in May as vacation days, giving us some four-day weekends to get stuff done.
So this first four-day weekend we didn't work on the floor at all. Yeah, I know. We did get some other stuff done, although it seems pretty small in comparison to what I planned to get done. Anyway, I have clean clothes, clean dishes, a clean kitchen, one clean bathroom, an updated checkbook, all my bills paid, and groceries in the cupboard. I got lots of sleep and feel better than I have in ages. I finished one book on tape and four books. I could get used to this four-day weekend thing.
It's nice out today, so we are in the process of deciding what we will do with the day today. Go to Home Depot and get the trim for the floor upstairs, or go play? Vote now!!!
