Something New

Greg and I did something today that we have never done in the 17 years we've been together. We went shopping for baby things. Lest you get the wrong idea, let me clear up any misconceptions that sentance may bring to mind. We had to go find baby socks to keep Sophie's foot covered.

You wouldn't think that finding baby socks would be that difficult, would you? I went to Walmart thinking I would have no trouble there. HA! There are about 12,000 different kinds and I just wanted a basic sock. Do you know how many sizes and textures baby socks come in? And not one of them is labeled for Whippets. So after going to Walmart and Target and Dollar Tree, and spending WAAAAY to much time trying to figure out which size we needed I finally ended up getting a package of the toddler socks at the dollar store. They work fine and now I can wash her little pink one which was looking pretty dirty already.

Then we decided to go find some booties for her so she could go outside without a baggie over her foot. That was entertaining. After spending over an hour at PetSmart trying to decide which ones to get and then what size we should get, we finally settled on some cute little pink bootie-type "muttluck" type ones. Just in case you are ever looking for baby socks for your dog, they have them at PetSmart. I am not even kidding.

I'll post a picture of Sophie in her new boots later. She's annoyed enough with me for now because I changed her sock.
