I'm It!

Deb tagged me to share 10 things on my mind, so here goes....

1. Why are the trees already starting to turn colors? I know we've had a cooler than normal summer, but it is only AUGUST here, Mother Nature. We should have another full month before the trees start to change. The tree at work by the handicapped spot I've been using is actually loosing leaves already. This is just wrong.

2. Did I tell you my current cast is removeable? Do you know how awesome that is?

3. I've very grateful that gas prices are slowing coming down from the absolutely redicoulus to the merely laughable level. Of course, with Hurricane Dean coming at us, I'm sure the prices will shoot right back up again. In the mean time, I'll enjoy not spending $75 every week to fill up my car.

4. Computers drive me up the wall. I've been having this problem for the past couple of months with mine being slow. I've been trying to fix it but haven't had any luck. Thursday night I decided to do a full back up of my system on my external hard drive for the first time. When I got home Friday after work it was STILL downloading. Yeah, I ended up with about 8 backups. Did you know that the computer will refuse to delete something if the path name is too long? Trust me, it does.

5. Netflix actually LOWERED their prices. How wild is that? I love it!

6. Comcast sucks the big blue one. We've been getting these notices for a year that we have to switch our phone over to the new digital service because they are doing away with the service we did have. The digital service has been hyped up as so great, and they said they'd give us a deal because we've been Comcast internet, cable & phone customers for a long time (can you say monopoly??). So they came out last week and did whatever mysterious thing Comcast technitions do. We didn't use to have any fancy stuff like caller ID, voice mail or any goodies like that. And I liked it that way. So now we are paying more for this service they made us get and we have terrible scratchy buzzing connections. Comcast tells us it must be inside the house and it isn't their problem. Um, didn't have that problem with the old service. Stay tuned. I have a feeling I will be complaining about this a lot more in the future. We do get every cable channel on the earth now, but I still can't find anything to watch.

7. Zinger now weighs 3.3 pounds. He's growing so fast! I took him to the vet this week for his second series of kitten shots. He was such a good boy. He didn't fight or squirm or anything. He just let them do what they needed to do for him.

8. Poor Greg has been so miserable this week. Tuesday he got a lumbar epidural steriod injection. The doctor hit a nerve on his left side and his leg is still numb. The poor man is just miserable. The doctor said that the back would get worse before it got better. Well the worse part is coming true. Keep your fingers crossed that it will move on to getting better soon.

9. I really miss letterboxing. I can't wait until I can get out there and box again!

10. Carmen & Sophie are bored. I need to get them out and playing tomorrow.

Okay, so this isn't the world's most exciting blog ever, but I lived up to Deb's challenge. Let's hear from all of you!
