Someone told me about this interesting sounding shop a while back and I finally was able to go visit it. It's called Knittn Kitten. It's a thrift store devoted specifically to craft supplies. They have all kinds of fabric, patterns, yarn, knitting supplies, and everything you can think of. It's a very cool store. I bought two blanket projects for $5 each (see my post on my 101 list that talks about it).
The prices seemed reasonable. Lots of different kinds of yarn from $1 up to $8 or $9 for alpaca yarn, which seems pretty good to me.
Anyway, it's very cool. If any of you have craft supplies that you would like to get rid of or just don't know what to do with them, this is the place to go. And if you are looking for inexpensive yarn or fabric or whatever, it's a good place to look.
