Goodbye, Barbaro

A sad event happened today. Barbaro, the racehorse that broke his leg last year during the Preakness, was put to sleep today due to complications from the injury.

I'm so sad. I was really rooting for him to make it. I checked the University of Pennsylvania's web site where they house the Barbaro updates just this morning. It sounded pretty serious, but I was hoping he would pull through.

Sleep well, Barbaro. You fought a valiant fight. You will be welcomed at the Rainbow Bridge.
